Band Guide

Banding is new to Kesari. Here is what bands and grades mean, in plain language.

What is a band? A band is a level in the organisation. Everyone in the same band carries a similar weight of responsibility, no matter which department they sit in. Bands run from Band 1 (most senior) down to Band 6. Within each band, grades (A, B, C…) are finer steps. A is the most senior grade inside that band. So "Band 3, Grade B" means a manager-level role, towards the senior end of management.
